Of Emerald Shires
- Composer
- David A. Myers
Intended to be a selection that prepares students for the more advanced folk suites available, Of Emerald Shires gives a stylistic "nod" to folk suites by Holst and Vaughn-Williams while including some contemporary harmonies and techniques. The suite format represents a diverse collection of form, speeds and color and could be performed as separate selections. A quality introduction to the folk song genre for your young players!
