A King's Celebration
- Composer
- Jorge Vargas
This noble two-part work captures the essence of a royal celebration, and can be used effectively to teach younger players to perform in more than one style within a single work. Opening with a slower, lyrical section, students should use a connected, legato approach while giving the melodies forward motion. The second section of the work is quicker and should employ firmer, yet not choppy articulations to make it work. Use this majestic band work as a concert centerpiece to show off your band’s musicality and lyricism!
