River of Gold
- Composer
- Walter Cummings
The frenzied days of California's old Rush are captured in this creative musical portrait. Opening with the flowing sounds of the American River, the idyllic scene is punctuated by the moment of discovery of gold (bell solo) at Sutter's Mill. What follows is as exciting as the times the miners came from all over to find their piece of the golden pie, replete with dynamite explosions and clanging mining equipment.
