Swing Till the Walls Come Down
- Composer
- David Bobrowitz
A sheer delight to play and listen to, this swinging jazz setting is based on the spiritual "Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho". Initially, percussion and low voices lay down a solid groove, on top of which is laid an imaginative procession of takes on the swinging melody. Evolving countermelodies decorate and enhance the main tune in a variety of ways that rivet the listeners' attention and keep musicians on their toes. A swinging experience not to be missed!
