Concert Band
Longtown Legacy
- Composer
- Cedric Adderley
Written to commemorate the career of a longtime South Carolina educator and administrator, this fabulous band composition has everything a fine piece of music should contain: memorable melodies, snappy rhythms that propel the tunes irresistibly forward, and a perfect combination of variety and repetition. Longtown Legacy should find its way into folders of bands at all levels because its technical demands are carefully controlled and its extreme musicality and beauty prove emphatically that great music transcends technique.
