The Merry Wives of Windsor
- Composer
- Otto Nicolai
- Transcribed by
- Kenneth Singleton
One of the most engaging works in the orchestral repertoire is now available to advanced bands and wind ensembles. Written for the U.S. Air Force band, this virtuosic transcription begins with quiet opening depicting a magical moonlit night which leads to an extended fast section. This allegro vivace is in turn delicate, exciting, beautiful, and virtuosic. Perfect showcase for highly advanced bands with "chops".
