Hymn, Procession and Round Dance

The three sections of this piece can be said to describe a celebration of a close community of like-minded peoples. Their dedication and singular purpose is represented in the music by just a few simple rhythmic and harmonic motifs which appear in new ways in every section culminating in a canon where every voice gets their chance to both lead and then to follow in harmony with their neighbors. The serious nature and fine craftsmanship of this work make it perfect for festival performance.
