This minimalist soundscape recreates a quiet afternoon in the woods of New Hampshire. Three mallet parts create an underlying ostinato with wind parts layered above in expansive melodic lines, and even imitating bird calls to enhance the programmatic mood of the piece. This innovative work ends indeterminately, with players fading out individually. A beautiful piece with unique and educational features.
