Joyful Jig

After a brief introduction, this charming new work for string orchestra features a spritely original tune which hops along through a series of variations before incorporating Beethoven’s famous “Ode to Joy” theme from his 9th Symphony in a refreshing original setting. This is followed by a visit to the original theme before closing in a harmonic flurry of 4ths and one final snippet of Ludwig. Perfect for a concert opener/curtain raiser or an exciting encore!
